Mobile technology is headed towards more personalization. Smartphones will become less touchy, but more sensitive. Improved smartphone features will use gestures and other non-tap inputs to perform operations. In addition to these new features, developers are working on phones use sensors and machine language to recognize other objects.
Another goal for mobile technology is to expand its reach to wearable technology. Apple recently received 22 patents for wearable technology in the forms of sneakers, shirts, ski gear, and watches. These devices will be able to do functions such as calculate walking distances, take vitals, or give geographical directions.
