There are currently more than one billion smartphones in use. That’s one out of every 6.7 people on the planet. So it’s no wonder that everything is going mobile these days. In fact, Google estimates by 2013 more people will use mobile phones than desktop PCs to go online.
Mobile commerce is growing at a rapid pace as well. By 2016 mobile commerce is expected to grow to five times it’s current size. Also, Gartner predicts that in 2016 there will be 448 million mobile payment users in a market worth $617 billion.
