Are you new in town? Looking for a church to join? The internet is a sure fire way to find anything that you could ever imagine. After finding a church that is suitable for you, Baptists being the most popular with 2,740,000 searches per month, you decide to give a local church a visit. Once visiting, you may be asked to fill out a visitor card which can open a whole world of church wide opportunities. Some of these opportunities include event registries, activities, and to solicit interest in ministry or volunteer options.
Churches most often use phone, flyer, email, mail, or visitations to contact their visitors. Staying in constant contact with your visitors will greatly increase room for significant growth. For the best results, a church will follow up with new visitors 24-48 hours post visit.
Nowadays the internet is where it’s at. When looking for a new church, or even promoting your own church, it’s best to utilize the web. The internet will allow you to enroll in newcomer classes and/or other small groups within the church.
I researched Church Mgt Systems 2 years ago and recommended Fellowship One to our church. I have mixed feelings about it. I believe is currently in the process of a major overhaul.
There must be a top down commitment in the church to gain the full benefit of the system. This can’t be pushed of to the staff members who are though to be computer savvy.
The church member online interfaces are not very good and seem outdated. Simple things like event registrations and donations work fine, but the UX (user experience) very good.
I do believe that F1 has a good chance of making some major progress. They have a strong user base and a strong company behind them.
That’s a neat infographic. The intersection of technology and faith is quite interesting.
Thanks Don! Agreed.
