For most people, spider webs are mildly irritating basement occurrences, but can a spider’s silk serve a higher purpose than decorating your unused space? Actually, spider silk may be the future of material technology. Stronger than steel and more elastic than a rubber band, spider’s silk is also water absorbent and can take a harder hit than Kevlar can.
