The Future of Mobility

Mobile technology is headed towards more personalization. Smartphones will become less touchy, but more sensitive. Improved smartphone features will use gestures and other non-tap inputs to perform operations. In addition to these new features, developers are working on phones  use sensors and machine language to recognize other objects.

Another goal for mobile technology is to expand its reach to wearable technology. Apple recently received 22 patents for wearable technology in the forms of sneakers, shirts, ski gear, and watches. These devices will be able to do functions such as calculate walking distances, take vitals, or give geographical directions.

Is Your Car Safe From Auto Theft? [Infographic]

Auto theft is a leading crime in the U.S., costing consumers more than $8.2 billion annually. A car is stolen in the U.S. every 26 seconds and only 52% of the cars stolen are ever recovered.

Risk factors for theft include car color, model, and make. Neutral colors are stolen most often. Car models which have interchangeable parts are attractive to thieves because they can be broken up and sold for more profit. The Ford F-150, the nation’s most popular pickup truck, is also one of the most commonly stolen vehicles for its parts.
