Compared to many other industrialized nations, the American healthcare system is found to be lacking.  Around 25 percent of Americans cannot even afford to see a doctor. Another 23 percent didn’t fill prescriptions and 19 percent are unable to or have serious problems paying medical bills.  These numbers are staggering when you compare with other nations.

    It is very sad how many people have to declare bankruptcy in this country just to get away from horrendous medical bills. A serious illness can ruin a family’s financial future.
