She’s the Boss [Infographic]

Women are making big time moves in the corporate world—and this starts with the fact that women are breaking records as GMAT participants and MBA program employees. In 2011, 46 percent of all MBA degrees were earned by women. From 1997 to 2011, the number of women earning MBA degrees has increased by 75 percent. The top fields women want to be grads in includes marketing and advertising, consumer goods, government and public service, entertainment, media, and public relations, and health care, retail, fashion, and apparel. It’s worth noting that women are more likely to compromise pay to enter fields that are stimulating, personally rewarding, and in line with their values.

It’s refreshing to see that in today’s world, female MBA grads are closing the pay gap with their male counterparts. They are now earning 93 cents for every dollar earned by their male co-workers. It’s also refreshing to see that there are 20 female CEOs running America’s largest corporations. To learn more, check out the awesome infographic below.
